Job summary

David Protein, a new high-protein foods brand based in New York City, is seeking a Retail Operations Coordinator to manage the administrative backbone of our retail rollout. You will partner with Account Managers, Supply Chain, Sales Planning, and Finance to submit line reviews, manage promotions, and ensure data integrity across distributor and retailer portals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail/sales operations, item setup, or a category/sales coordinator function – ideally at a large CPG brand or at a brokerage servicing CPG accounts.
• Hands-on familiarity with retailer and distributor portals and item-setup processes (e.g., Walmart Retail Link, Target Partners Online, Kroger and other retailer supplier portals, and distributor systems such as UNFI, KeHE, CoreMark, and McLane).
• Exceptional organization, accuracy, and attention to detail – you treat a misfiled form or a wrong attribute as unacceptable.
• Strong ownership of deadlines and follow-through; you chase down inputs and close loops without being asked.
• Comfort with high-volume, detail-intensive work and the discipline to keep it error-free under time pressure.
• Clear, proactive communicator who can coordinate across Account Managers and cross-functional partners.
• A bias for speed and a desire to build systems that scale.
• Humble, low-ego, and endlessly optimistic.

Responsibilities

• Own line review and new item submission processes across retailers and distributors, ensuring on-time, accurate filings.
• Coordinate promotions, features, and display execution through retailer portals and calendars.
• Maintain item data across portals: attributes, pricing, dimensions, images, ingredients, and nutrition data.
• Manage onboarding of new retailers and distributors, including vendor paperwork and portal access.
• Keep regulatory records current across portals: COIs, W-9s, supplier agreements, labels and required data.
• Build trackers, templates, and SOPs to scale operations as the portfolio grows.
