Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking an Analyst I, Retail Operations for a one-year contract in Houston, TX.

You will support accurate and timely billing for ENGIE's Retail Commercial and Industrial customers, review unbilled and operational reports, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and third‑party vendors using multiple data systems and Microsoft Office tools. Responsibilities

  • Review and update daily reports supporting billing and operations.

Job description

This is a CONTRACT POSITION. Your employment will be held by a third‑party company of ENGIE's choosing. Any offered contract role will not constitute an offer for nor guarantee of future employment with ENGIE.

What You Can Expect

As an Analyst I, Retail Operations, you will support accurate and timely billing for ENGIE's Retail Commercial and Industrial customers. You will begin your day by reviewing unbilled and operational reports, researching billing discrepancies, and coordinating resolutions with internal teams and third‑party vendors. You will use multiple data systems and Microsoft Office tools to analyze information, respond to customer concerns, and support daily operational processes. You will also contribute to cross‑functional projects involving requirements gathering, quality assurance testing, billing improvements, customer experience, and reporting. This position reports to the Manager, Retail Operations and does not identify any direct reports.

  • Research and resolve billing disputes while communicating timely updates to internal and external customers.
  • Review and update daily reports that support billing and operational processes.
  • Apply sound business judgment when addressing customer issues, billing problems, and data requests.
  • Gather requirements and perform quality assurance testing for billing, reporting, and customer‑experience initiatives.
  • Implement quality‑control measures designed to improve outgoing invoice accuracy.
  • Partner with colleagues across departments to strengthen end‑to‑end delivery processes.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance group to meet applicable business‑control, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Deliver against established key performance indicators.
  • Train new team members and maintain accurate, relevant training materials.
What You'll Bring
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or four years of directly relevant experience in place of a degree.
  • Up to two years of analytical experience in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of retail energy operations, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to research billing issues, analyze data, and manage multiple assignments accurately and on time.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to work across multiple data systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow‑through, reliability, and ethical judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues, cross‑functional teams, and third‑party vendors.
