Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Buffalo, NY is hiring a retail associate to create a positive customer experience and assist with merchandising and backroom tasks. You will support training of team members and help maintain stock shelves, signage, and overall store operations.

Candidates should be able to work nights and weekends, demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and teamwork, and lift items as needed. Prior retail exposure and leadership experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience preferred.
• 6 months of leadership experience required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Orchestrate truck delivery and merchandising.
• Train and mentor Associates on established principles.
• Ensure merchandise is tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with management to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor.
• Maintain backroom cleanliness and organizing for replenishment.
• Promote safety, adhere to labor laws and store policies.
• Support store shrink reduction initiatives.
