Sunrift Adventures in Travelers Rest, SC is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, lead a retail team, and drive a superior customer experience.

You will manage sales performance, inventory control, merchandising, and staff development while upholding safety standards and company procedures. This hands-on role requires strong leadership and a passion for outdoor gear.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in retail operations, store management, or a related leadership position.
  • Experience leading and developing a retail team.
  • Strong understanding of sales, merchandising, inventory and customer-service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily retail operations, ensuring the store operates efficiently and professionally.
  • Lead, coach, and develop retail staff to achieve sales and customer-service goals.
  • Monitor sales performance, operational metrics, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate product receiving, inventory organization, replenishment, and stock control.
  • Maintain effective merchandising and product presentation throughout the store.
  • Develop employee schedules and ensure appropriate staffing during peak periods.
  • Train employees on products, sales techniques, customer service, and company procedures.
  • Resolve customer concerns and ensure a high-quality shopping experience.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and management teams regarding product availability and inventory needs.
  • Implement procedures that improve productivity, accuracy, and overall store performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee development.
  • Support promotional activities, seasonal initiatives, and special retail events.
  • Analyze sales and inventory information to identify opportunities for improvement.

Job description

Sunrift is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations and help deliver an exceptional customer experience across its outdoor retail business. This role is responsible for team leadership, sales performance, inventory management, merchandising, and operational efficiency.

  • Ability to work onsite and maintain a hands-on approach to retail operations.
