Retail Operations Manager (ROM)

Summary

Responsible for leading and developing an assigned Retail Selling and Merchandising organization, overseeing a specific segment of clients and retailers within an assigned geography, and managing retail store coverage and project execution to meet client and company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-performing teams and proactively ensure client KPIs are consistently achieved by addressing retail issues.
• Oversee retail routing and approve related routing decisions for the assigned region.
• Develop people via training, performance reviews, in-store assessments, individual associate development plans, and succession planning documentation.
• Source and integrate external talent into the organization as part of talent expansion strategies.
• Manage or assist with expense and revenue/operating income budget for the area of responsibility.
• Grow base business and add new business opportunities.
• Lead communications across internal and external stakeholders and manage change to ensure alignment with client and company KPIs.
• Maintain knowledge of company reporting systems, interpret data, and provide actionable insights.
• Promote and implement the company's strategic direction and national policies across the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management preferred).
• 5+ years of retail experience with associate management.
• 1-3 years of managing Retail Merchandisers, P&L, budgeting and forecasting, and client expectations.
• Strong customer and client management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
