Job summary

PetSmart’s Process Leader (Retail Operations Manager) oversees merchandising, inventory, and pet care operations to deliver an exceptional store experience. The role opens and closes the store, leads associates, and drives financial outcomes while maintaining safety and organization across the store environment.

As a strong people leader, you will guide staffing, training, and performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and high standards of care for pets and customers alike.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participates in recruiting, interviewing, and coaching to build the team.
• Oversees associate experience, training, onboarding, reviews, labor management, and coaching.
• Address and resolve associate complaints and maintain store standards.
• Lead operational processes to keep pets safe and healthy in care.
• Coordinate staffing coverage for core store activities and ensure task completion.
