Job summary

PetSmart seeks a Retail Operations Lead to drive store performance through merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, and a focus on a safe, organized store environment. This role also supports opening/closing procedures and leads associates in delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires supervision experience, full-time availability, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining PetSmart’s standards and culture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to store associates, guiding training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching and performance feedback.
• Oversee store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and ensure accurate stock replenishment and display standards.
• Operate POS systems, handle cash transactions, and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain store standards and foster a culture of empowerment; assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure pet care maintenance, safety, and positive experiences for customers with online orders and in-store pickups.
