Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation's Brown Jug Tudor store in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Store Operations Manager to lead inventory, financial oversight, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and execute store programs, promotions, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of retail experience.
• Valid State of Alaska Alcohol Server Certification (TAP or RServing).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Post-secondary coursework or training in business, leadership, or hospitality (preferred).
• Wine, beer, and spirits knowledge (preferred).
• First Aid Certification (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (preferred).
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team (preferred).
• Experience interpreting financial reports (P&L, sales, labor, shrink) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed profitability goals.
• Oversee inventory controls: ordering, receiving, cycle counts, and shrink management.
• Monitor financial procedures including invoice verification, cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation.
• Produce and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales, labor, inventory, and loss-prevention reports.
• Adjust scheduling to align labor costs with forecasts and needs.
• Partner on initiatives to maximize ROI and store efficiency.
• Ensure flawless execution of daily operations and corporate programs.
• Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising to brand standards.
• Manage store-level communications including promotions and events.
• Drive execution of visual and promotional programs and assess outcomes.
• Lead daily huddles and weekly team meetings; recruit, hire, and onboard staff.
• Maintain records, documentation, and compliance logs.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.
• Coach and develop team members through feedback and development plans.
