Job summary

SSA Group at Buffalo Zoo is seeking an Assistant Retail Operations Manager to oversee Gift Shop and Kiosk operations. You will lead staff, recruit and coach talent, and ensure compliance with policies while driving sales and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include inventory control, POS troubleshooting, payroll support, and maintaining presentation standards across locations, with flexibility to work varied hours and holidays.

• Lead and motivate staff to exceed customer and client expectations.
• Handle talent recruitment, onboarding, supervision, evaluation, coaching and documentation.
• Develop training programs to motivate and mentor employees.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Uphold company policies and client guidelines, promote inclusivity.
• Assist in inventory control and ensure merchandise presentation standards.
• Analyze daily/weekly/monthly sales and payroll against budgets.
