Job summary

JCPenney in New York is seeking an Operations Associate to deliver an outstanding customer experience by performing essential store operations before opening. You will handle pricing and signing, stock replenishment, merchandise receiving and backroom upkeep while contributing to omnichannel initiatives and ensuring merchandise is presented according to plan.

This role requires energy for early hours and the ability to work with a team to maintain safe, clean, and organized spaces as customers

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication.
• Willingness to work early morning shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly customer service on the sales floor.
• Execute pricing and signing across merchandise quickly and accurately.
• Replenish and restock to keep sizes and styles available.
• Receive and unload merchandise and prepare items in backroom.
• Maintain clean, organized stockroom and store standards.
• Support omnichannel initiatives (BOPIS, ship from store, etc.).
• Help implement merchandising plans to enhance shopper experience.
