Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, including receiving, tagging, organizing, and replenishing merchandise.
• Receive shipments and process inter-store transfers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management.
• Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory processes.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare outbound shipments and client orders.
• Maintain organized back-of-house areas and accessible merchandise.
• Support visual merchandising by organizing products.
• Collaborate with leadership and sales to locate merchandise by size, color, and style.
• Document product movements, transfers, and shipments.
• Ensure packaging meets company standards and assist on the sales floor as needed.

Client Overview:

A leading luxury retail company is seeking a Retail Operations Associate to support daily store operations, inventory management, and back-of-house processes within an elevated retail environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr - $35/hr

Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Associate will support the day-to-day operations of the store, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy, receiving shipments, processing transfers, replenishment, and maintaining organized back-of-house operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong retail operations or stock experience who is proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities of the Retail Operations Associate:

• Support daily store operations, including receiving, tagging, organizing, and replenishing merchandise.


• Receive and process inbound shipments and inter-store transfers.


• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory management.


• Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory processes.


• Assist with identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.


• Prepare and process outbound shipments and client orders.


• Maintain organized back-of-house areas and ensure merchandise is easily accessible.


• Support visual merchandising initiatives by preparing and organizing product.


• Partner with store leadership and sales associates to locate merchandise, sizes, colors, and styles.


• Maintain appropriate documentation for product movements, transfers, and shipments.


• Ensure packaging and product handling meet company standards.


• Support the sales floor as needed to enhance the client experience.


• Assist with opening and closing procedures and other operational tasks as assigned.


• Maintain appropriate levels of store supplies and packaging materials.


• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold store standards.

Required Experience/Skills for the Retail Operations Associate:

• 3–5+ years of experience in retail operations, stock, inventory, or a similar operations-focused role.


• Strong experience receiving shipments, processing transfers, replenishing merchandise, and managing inventory.


• Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.


• Strong organizational and communication skills.


• Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment and adapting to changing priorities.


• Ability to interact professionally with store leadership and sales teams.


• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.


• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Retail Operations Associate:

• Previous luxury or elevated retail experience strongly preferred.


• Contemporary retail experience with a strong operations/stock background will also be considered.


• Experience with RFID technology is a major plus.


• Experience with POS and inventory management systems.


• Previous experience supporting physical inventory and cycle counts.


• Strong back-of-house and stockroom experience.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
