Job summary

Axpo US is seeking an Operations professional to support the Director of Operations in managing OTC transactions, including confirmations, invoicing and settlement, and to liaise with Power and Gas Scheduling Teams in a fast-paced retail power environment.

You will ensure regulatory reporting for OTC activities, reconcile futures and ISO invoices, and contribute to testing and rollout of new trading system enhancements while collaborating across departments to mitigate risks and improve

Qualifications

• Experience in operations of trading and sales within commodities services, preferably energy.
• Proven ability to manage confirmations, invoicing and settlements.
• Familiarity with retail power and related commodities markets.

Job description

• Support the Director of Operations in managing transactions in the retail power business and other product life cycles, including confirmation, invoicing, and settlement of OTC transactions
• Liaise with Power and Gas Scheduling Teams
• Ensure proper regulatory reporting of OTC transactions
• Reconcile futures transactions and positions, as well as ISO invoices
• Provide operational requirements for testing and implementing new products and trading system enhancements
• Review complex transactions
• Maintain reference data for counterparties, exchanges, FCMs, and brokers
• Suggest improvements to reduce operational risk and enhance workflows
• Collaborate closely with various departments within Axpo US

Requirements

• University degree with top grades, preferably in a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the operations department of a trading and sales business within the commodities services industry, preferably energy
• Experience supporting retail power
• Knowledge of commodities markets, including retail energy and Futures, Forwards, Swaps, Options, Load, and FTRs
• Experience with confirmations, invoicing/settlements, transactional regulatory reporting, and ISO invoice reconciliations
• Strong skills in testing trading system rollouts and enhancements
• Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge traders, quants, and technology teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to anticipate risks, identify control gaps, and propose mitigation solutions
