Job summary

Truist is seeking a Mortgage Sales Associate in Durham, NC to drive mortgage product sales within bank policies and to refer clients to related bank services.

Responsibilities include executing marketing plans to meet mortgage production goals, maintaining knowledge of policies and investor guidelines, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering sound mortgage advice.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in banking or lending with knowledge of residential property types.
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
• SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance within 30 days and clear background check.

Responsibilities

• Execute effective mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed agreed upon mortgage production goals.
• Maintain knowledge of the Mortgage Strategies, Policies and Procedures, as well as secondary market investor's guidelines utilized by Truist.
• Adhere to and comply fully with Truist policies and procedures related to internal and external rules and regulations, particularly those established by State and Federal law.
• Provide mortgage clients sound mortgage advice based on client needs and Truist Mortgage products and their benefits.
• Consistently execute on Truist's referral process by introducing mortgage clients to other bank solutions for deepening client opportunities.
• Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up as determined through quality control or post-closing review.
