Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Baytown, TX. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a team of associates, focusing on merchandising and freight processing to deliver a great store experience.

You will open and close the store as needed, maintain store assets, and ensure safety and policy compliance while keeping the sales floor clean and well-stocked.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Team-oriented in a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process freight receipts and returns.
• Manage freight flow and plan merchandise needs.
• Ensure sales floor is stocked and merchandise is well presented.
• Plan and implement monthly sales planners.
