Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Grenada, Mississippi, to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and supervise store associates in a high-energy retail environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to safety and policy adherence. This position is full-time in a storefront setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives and related communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
