Job summary

TJX Companies’ TJ Maxx store in Greenville, NC is seeking a Merchandise Associate to execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing and a positive customer experience. You will work with a team to keep the sales floor organized and up to date.

Preferred candidates have 1 year in retail and at least 6 months in a leadership role, with strong communication and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards.
• Ensure Associates process efficiently and work as a team.
• Engage with customers to provide an excellent experience.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising principles.
• Tag, hang, and code merchandise properly.
• Maintain backroom organization and replenishment.
• Monitor team productivity and coach as needed.
• Support safety and compliance with labor laws.
• Promote loyalty programs and credit options.
• Assist in shrink reduction goals.
