Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with all store functions, open/close, protect assets, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates.

This full-time role is based in Ellenton, Florida, offering opportunities for growth within a fast-paced retail setting and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives related to store activities (DSD, pulls, holds, etc.).
• Keep store clean and presentable; ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Support Store Manager with freight flow and merchandise planning.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain clips/panels with sale items.
