Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team in Adkins, TX. You will support the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team and ensuring great customer experiences while focusing on merchandising and freight processing.

The role requires retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You will help maintain the store, execute directives, and drive daily sales.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process freight and merchandise shipments.
• Maintain store areas to company standards, including stockroom and sales floor.
• Follow corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain cleanliness and restrooms, and keep areas neat and presentable.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise, including frozen/refrigerated items, per standards.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and stocked.
• Plan merchandise and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sale items.
• Develop and implement monthly Sales Planners.
