Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering positive community experiences. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight while ensuring store standards and safety guidelines.

Key duties include assisting with daily store functions, opening/closing, asset protection, and maintaining both stockroom and sales floor; you’ll also implement monthly plans and coordinate directives from head office.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and handle physical demands.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, bathrooms included.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with freight flow and merchandise needs, including frozen/refrigerated.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain clip strips and power panels.
