Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the primary customer contact, stock and display merchandise, and operate the checkout. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and assist customers with locating merchandise while maintaining clean and organized aisles.

Responsibilities include registering sales, handling payments, and supporting ordering activities with handheld scanners, all while following company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive stock from shipments.
• Store merchandise in stock room or stock floor per plan.
• Build and rotate displays; face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers on the floor.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and comply with policies.
