Primary Responsibilities
The Sales Solutions Specialist is responsible for executing sales solutions, assessing stores for sales growth opportunities, and maintaining store partnerships. The role involves maximizing sales through innovative product placement and presentation, executing store solutions activities, and completing all store sets.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday — Hourly position.
Essential Functions
- Execute design decisions from senior management with urgency
- Analyze product movement and suggest strategies to increase sales
- Develop sales presentations to educate store personnel on product placement that increases sales and customer traffic
- Present and sell latest trends
- Conduct store sales surveys prior to new store openings, resets, or re-merchandising; manage store proposals; drive new item PODs; maximize exposure and sales revenue
- Support sales strategy alongside sales leaders
- Implement plan-o-grams, educational aids, and merchandising techniques to boost customer traffic and sales
- Influence product placement to impact sales revenue
- Manage the rollout of new merchandise, including communication and execution with stores
- Communicate effectively with merchandising teams, store personnel, and other stakeholders regarding project status
- Manage credits by controlling overages, shortages, and mis-picks
- Execute daily sales and merchandising activities
- Build strong store relationships to achieve sales objectives
- Manage business expenses cost-effectively
- Provide vacation and route coverage for sales teams
- Maintain knowledge of product categories and merchandising techniques
- Foster a transparent, cross-functional environment
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, and Aptitude
- High school diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship management abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload to enhance customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, Cognos, PowerPoint, and similar tools
- Experience in the food industry or with code-sensitive products preferred
- Ability to identify long-term issues, develop strategies, and link activities to strategic goals
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Competencies include financial acumen, collaboration, courage, urgency, and managing complexity
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends
- Willingness to travel up to 80% via air and stay overnight
- Adhere to KeHE policies and procedures
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to carry, lift, and move up to 50 pounds
- Frequent sitting and driving
- Frequent standing, climbing, and walking
- Work in both office/store environments and outdoors under various weather conditions
- Noise levels vary from low to high
