Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store associate to serve customers, stock shelves, and operate the cash register. You will help set up plan-o-grams, maintain displays, and ensure merchandise is faced and priced correctly while protecting store assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, assisting customers, rotating stock, and keeping the sales floor clean. The role demands safety awareness, basic math, and reliable cash-handling abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
