Job summary

St. Matthew’s House in Naples, FL, is seeking a Merchandise Pick-Up team member to support the store vision and assist guests with loadouts. The role emphasizes a customer-focused approach, safe handling of furniture and adherence to store policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail and sales background preferred; strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage time, prioritize tasks and balance sales floor activity.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting and thanking guests.
• Use telephone etiquette when answering the telephone.
• Lift and move furniture and large merchandise using proper lifting techniques and moving equipment.
• Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and ensure safety program compliance.
• Assist unloading merchandise transfer trucks and process items as needed.
• Communicate daily with leadership about needs and progress.
• Handle a fast-paced, high-output workload with a strong work ethic.
• Share St. Matthew’s House mission with guests and the public.
• Participate in store events as scheduled by Store Manager.
• Perform duties and take on additional responsibilities as directed by Store Manager.
