Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. in Bay Minette, Alabama is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in daily store operations and administration. You will learn all product areas, promote promotions, and deliver outstanding service to our customers.

As a Manager in Training you will gain hands-on experience in selling, merchandising, scheduling, and inventory control while developing leadership skills to eventually oversee store performance.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred in footwear and apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provides knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Is aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keeps the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Assures quality customer service is maintained.
• Performs general administrative duties and is trained in Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Produce and give extraordinary customer service and promote sales as per manuals.
