Job summary

R301US Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training in Boone, NC to assist the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, scheduling, and customer service initiatives. This role requires knowledge of store products and a commitment to driving sales and service.

The Manager in Training will assume supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence and will guide staff across departments to meet profitability goals while upholding company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and ownership of tasks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
• Team-player focused on outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Fill in as acting Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department tasks and standards are met.
• Maintain communication with the Store Manager about movement and trends.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per the manuals and policies.
