Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Retail Team Member in Buffalo, NY. This hourly role starts at $16.50 per hour and requires availability for nights and weekends. You will greet customers, support store operations, and help enforce policies with the General Manager while delivering friendly service.

Responsibilities include security checks, package tracking at the employee entrance, and assisting with safety inspections to keep the store secure and welcoming.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Stand/walk for 8 hours on the sales floor.
• Lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• General product knowledge in key departments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction/investigations.
• Work with the General Manager to ensure policy adherence.
• Maintain employee entrance areas and track packages at entry.
• Conduct store physical security checks and make loss-prevention recommendations.
• Perform figure 8's in store and stay active throughout shift.
• Provide a visible, courteous presence at entrance/exit.
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards.
