Job summary

Five Below in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to help reduce shortages, conduct store security checks, and assist management in enforcing policies. You must be able to stand for 8 hours, lift up to 20 lbs, and work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Ability to work nights and weekends to retail business needs.
• Stand/walk 8 hours at a time.
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Understand Five Below policies and procedures.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction/investigations.
• Work closely with General Manager to ensure policy compliance by employees.
• Maintain the employee entrance area as applicable.
• Track all packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store physical security checks and provide loss-prevention recommendations.
• Perform figure-8 checks and stay in motion within the store.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit and interact courteously with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
