Job summary

Jobtailor in Massachusetts seeks a Loss Prevention Associate to support store safety and shrink reduction. You will participate in investigations, observe and deter theft, and collaborate with Store Management to maintain a secure shopping environment.

Responsibilities include daily loss prevention tasks, documenting incidents, handling evidence, and providing courteous customer service while upholding policies and labor laws. 0-2 years retail or security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs
• Maintain positive relationships with Store Management
• Conduct apprehensions within established policies and guidelines
• Communicate with store Associates about damage and shrink initiatives
• Identify and resolve internal and external theft
• Adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies
• Provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service
• Promote honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality
• Observe, apprehend, and/or deter acts of dishonesty from outside sources
• Participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned
• Ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity
• Complete and distribute paperwork accurately and promptly
• Maintain appropriate evidence and demonstrate understanding of law enforcement procedures
• Participate professionally in legal activities as needed, including police calls
• Coordinate shrink-related activities with Store Management
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs
• Encourage Associate use of shrink-reduction resources
• Promote safety awareness and support a safe environment
