Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.
• Law enforcement or military background preferred.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with at least one year driving experience and clean record.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.
• Ability to travel to store locations within 25 miles and work evenings/weekends.
• Knowledge of retail security camera equipment.
• Ability to blend into a retail environment.
• Ability to deter/pursue shoplifters per policy.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds; stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a Food Shop located in Manhattan.
• Detect and apprehend shoplifters following company policy.
• Provide observed surveillance while walking the sales floor.
• Operate security camera and surveillance equipment at client sites.
• Travel to nearby store locations within 25 miles as needed.
• Work afternoon and evening shifts, including weekends.
