Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Loss Prevention Associate to oversee a Food Shop in Manhattan. This full-time security role requires vigilance, customer service, and the ability to deter shoplifting while blending into a retail environment.

Shifts are 7am–3pm, with Tuesday–Saturday workdays. Candidates should be 18+, hold a high school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years verifiable experience), and be prepared for a background check and drug screen. Pay is $24.63–$25.63 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Prior law enforcement, military, or retail loss prevention experience preferred.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Able to travel to store locations within 25 miles of home.
• Willingness to work retail store hours including evenings and weekends.
• Basic computer skills to operate security tech at client sites.
• Ability to blend into a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Detect and apprehend shoplifters following company policy.
• Provide customer service and security presence on the shop floor.
• Monitor and operate retail security equipment and perform surveillance as needed.
