Job summary

IKEA USA in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a permanent full-time Safety, Security & Loss Prevention Associate to help protect people and property. You will perform audits, maintain safety equipment, report incidents, and coordinate responses to emergencies in a retail environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of work experience; retail safety or loss prevention background is preferred. Some locations require a security guard license, which must be obtained as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in safety, security, or loss prevention preferred.
• Candidates in Oregon, New York, and St. Louis, MO, must be eligible to obtain a security guard license as required by applicable local law. Obtaining the security guard license is a required condition of employment for this role.

• Completes safety, security, and compliance audits and trainings.
• Maintains critical safety equipment such as alarms, radios, and security systems.
• Reports and follows up on incidents that occur.
• Responds to and coordinates emergency situations in work areas such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, active shooter and other emergency events.

JOB TYPE: Permanent – Full-Time (benefits eligible) HOURS: 34–40 hrs/week (FT) PAY RANGE: $21.48 - $30.34 SHIFT: Retail Environment; must be able to work nights & weekends.
