Job summary

Simon Property Group seeks a leasing professional to drive high-volume deals for space in regional malls. You will cultivate tenants, qualify prospects, and negotiate terms to maximize returns for owners while coordinating with Legal, Construction, and Management teams.

The role requires 2–4 years in retail leasing, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a Bachelor’s degree. Travel to markets and collaboration with mall managers are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in real estate/retail leasing.
• 2–4 years of retail leasing/selling experience.
• Strong knowledge of merchandising mix and retailing.
• Experience with deal structures and lease terminology.
• Proven negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates prospective tenants and responds to inquiries about SPG centers.
• Qualifies potential tenants by reviewing financial statements and references; negotiates lease terms for maximum return.
• Coordinates with Legal to prepare documentation and with Construction for shell drawings and guidelines.
• Identifies market opportunities and visits centers to assess tenant interest and industry trends.
• Evaluates tenant fit for center based on brand, price point, service, and store appearance.
• Develops leasing plans for new centers and collaborates with VP Development and Property Management.
