Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking candidates for the Manager in Training program to rotate through store departments, learn merchandising, staffing, inventory, and customer experience, and develop strategies to drive sales and operational excellence.

You will work with store Directors and department leads, receive coaching, and build leadership capabilities to prepare for future store leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience leading departments of up to 40 team members while achieving sales targets.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through store departments to learn merchandising, staffing, inventory and customer experience.
• Partner with store leadership to develop and execute strategies that drive sales and operational excellence.
• Coach and develop team members, manage performance, and uphold company standards.
