Job summary

Alaska Industrial Hardware, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager-In-Training for its Fairbanks location. This full-time, hourly role offers hands-on training in store operations, recruiting, coaching employees, and driving sales performance.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, basic math and communication abilities, and are willing to relocate as needed. Hardware knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6-month minimum of AIH work history.
• Proven track record of excellent attendance.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills needed.
• Completed all assigned training programs and product curriculums.
• Must be willing to permanently transfer locations as management needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Learn to supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations under the guidance of management.
• Learn how to assist in the planning, organizing, and achieving short and long-term goals.
• Learn how to assist in recruiting and hiring high caliber employees for all store positions.
• Learn how to provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees.
• Learn to assist in training and developing a successful sales team.
• Effectively communicate all store needs and progress to Store Manager.
