Job summary
The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in Madison, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Training. This full-time role supports the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, staff supervision, sales, store upkeep, and customer relations.

Responsibilities
- Staff training and supervision as assigned
- Assist Store Manager with production and sales goals
- Oversee store maintenance, safety, security, cleanliness and utilities
- Assist with budgeting to keep income and expenses within parameters
- Protect assets through product control procedures to prevent shrinkage
- Develop and retain customers; create an enjoyable shopping experience
- Support banking and record-keeping procedures
- Communicate with Store Manager regarding all store operations
- Assist with personnel reviews and corrective actions
- Provide ongoing coaching and support from store leadership
- Build retail and customer service skills
