Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, and customer service. You will learn store management responsibilities and help implement sales initiatives.

You will promote merchandise, supervise staff in the Store Manager's absence, and maintain inventory accuracy while delivering outstanding service to customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of the store.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Ensure profitability by monitoring inventory, sales statistics, and expenses.
