Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with hiring and onboarding at our Sumter, SC location. You will help drive sales, maintain customer experience standards, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of Assistant Manager or retail leadership experience.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to help achieve sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain appropriate staffing levels through recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Reinforce adherence to policies, procedures, and loss prevention.
