Job summary

Affordable Home Furnishings is seeking a Manager-in-Training to join our Fast Track Store Manager program in Hammond, LA. Re-location may be required for advancement. Pay ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 per year, with a path to run your own store someday.

You’ll gain comprehensive experience across sales, collections, inventory, team leadership and daily operations while working with seasoned managers. The role emphasizes leadership and customer service within a rent-to-own/retail context.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Sales experience required.
• Collections or account management experience preferred.
• Rent-to-own experience is a major plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Learn all aspects of store operations.
• Lead by example in sales and customer service.
• Help manage customer accounts and collections.
• Train and motivate team members.
• Set up and maintain showroom displays.
• Monitor inventory and merchandise flow.
• Assist with deliveries, pickups, and warehouse operations when needed.
• Help recruit, coach, and develop employees.
• Work toward managing your own store location.
