Job summary

Chico’s FAS, Inc. is seeking an Associate Lead to support store operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving profitability. You will oversee sales transactions, supervise associates, and ensure adherence to policies and standards.

This role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining product presentation across shifts, with a focus on teamwork and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Minimum 2 years retail or sales management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
• Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
• Interacts with customers and operates register; stands, lifts and carries 50 pounds.
• Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service by greeting and assisting customers; responds to inquiries and complaints professionally and timely.
• Performs cash handling, price changes, merchandise handling, and open/close duties; reviews payroll-related time sheets and submits as appropriate.
• Monitors associate sales activities and productivity; communicates performance and trains associates to achieve targets.
• Maintains awareness of customers to increase service levels and reduces security risks; follows policies for payments and exchanges.
• Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; presents merchandise per promotions and standards.
• Supports receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies per policy.
• Supervises associates in sales, inventory handling, and cash reconciliation; prepares weekly schedules within fiscal guidelines.
• Models sales techniques and builds product knowledge; assists customers in locating merchandise.
• Builds customer following via clienteling and wardrobing.
• Maintains standards in merchandise handling, loss prevention, and other duties.
• Participates in visual merchandising and store sets; handles replenishment.
• Assists in development of store associates; provides coaching and feedback to Store Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
