Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to function as a cashier and/or stocker. In this role you will lead in the absence of store leadership, assist with plan-o-gram implementation, and provide exemplary customer service while protecting assets and reducing losses.

The position requires basic math, cash handling, and strong communication skills, with a focus on creating a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves according to store procedures.
• Restock and rotate merchandise; maintain clean, organized displays.
• Greet customers, assist with locating items and answer questions.
• Operate cash register and process payments; bag merchandise and give change.
• Maintain back-end registers and plan-o-grams; help with security and loss prevention.
