Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to function in a lead capacity when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent. You will greet customers, stock shelves, process transactions, and help protect assets while delivering friendly, efficient service across daily store operations.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, maintaining displays, handling cash with accuracy, and assisting customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise guidance.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves according to store processes.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Maintain register area, process transactions, and bag purchases.
• Build and rotate displays; face merchandise and restock as needed.
• Open/close procedures under Area Manager guidance.
