Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations. You will help unload shipments, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist customers with locating items.

The role requires basic math and strong cash-handling skills, with duties including operating the cash register, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. You may assume lead duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves to maintain displays.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, bag merchandise, collect payment, and give change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; open/close as directed by Area Manager.
• Support plan-o-gram implementation and adherence to store procedures.
