Job summary

Sunoco LP in Dallas seeks a Specialist - Retail IT to develop and test vendor-developed mobile payment and loyalty apps for c-store locations. You will be the SME and escalation point for mobile payment and loyalty technology, coordinating with Operations, Marketing and Support to monitor performance and feature availability.

You will gather requirements, configure lab equipment to mirror field conditions, create test plans, and oversee field beta installations and production readiness with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years college plus 5 years experience with c-store and fuel control systems.
• 5+ years in a technology environment, including 2–3 years in product management.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with electronic payment, mobile wallets, loyalty systems.
• Knowledge of Retail technologies including POS and communication systems.
• Petroleum and convenience industry experience preferred.
• Ability to gather requirements and drive prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and prioritizes business requirements for mobile payment and loyalty system changes.
• Collaborates with internal and external teams to develop new feature specifications.
• Creates test plans and oversees QA and field trial analyses to drive quality.
• Analyzes test results and guides readiness for production rollout.
• Acts as liaison to vendor technical staff for problem solving and implementation.
• Drives decisions balancing resources, schedule, and functionality.
• Provides oversight to 3rd party vendor execution of work.
