Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in Saco, ME is seeking an in-store HR administrative professional to support weekly payroll, personnel records, training, and attendance tracking. You will process payroll and Workers’ Compensation paperwork while maintaining strict confidentiality and accuracy.

The role requires proficiency with SuccessFactors HR and Learning systems, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to guide associates and store leadership on HR processes and benefits

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Ability to master both the SuccessFactors HR and learning systems and the payroll system.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Ability to think critically and logically. High level understanding of standard practice and ethical behavior in record keeping.
• Familiarity with Office applications including but not limited to Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll functions including time/attendance, payroll processing and MPA plan matching.
• Handle Workers’ Compensation and Disability paperwork; file accident investigations.
• Serve as in-store expert for SuccessFactors HR/Learning and payroll systems.
• Direct associates to the right contact and manage self-service tickets.
• Track attendance and review with store leadership.
• Screen job applicants and schedule final interviews.
• Provide training reports to department managers and store leadership.
• Ensure background check paperwork is completed for required roles.
• Conduct new hire orientations.
• Set up new associates in payroll and HR systems.
• Set up associates requiring mainframe access.
• Support Associate Experience Survey participation.
• Support store-level benefits enrollment.
• Maintain personnel and training files.
• Order uniforms, name tags and recognition material.
• Maintain HR bulletin boards and mandatory posters.
• Positively influence the Associate Experience and act as a brand ambassador.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of associate and store information.
• Complete Sunday payroll functions.
