Job summary

UNIQLO Providence is seeking an HR Assistant to support payroll, timecard enforcement and maintenance of personnel files. This role is based at our Providence Place store and may assist other market stores as needed.

You will help with recruiting, posting updates, HR reporting and handling employee relations, leaves, PTO and workers' comp. Collaboration with store managers, HR, training and payroll is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of HR administration or related experience.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HR policies and employment law.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule incl. evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supports payroll, timecard enforcement and maintenance of personnel files.
• Assists with recruiting, job postings and candidate screening.
• Supports HR reporting and administrative tasks.
• Handles employee relations questions, leaves, PTO and workers' comp.
• Collaborates with store managers, HR, training and payroll.
• Completes new hire forms, orientations, and start-date notifications.
• Assists with special projects assigned by management.
