Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader to guide daily store operations and guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. You will lead a team, optimize stocking, pricing, and merchandising, and drive sales while upholding store standards and safety policies.

You will develop talent, coach hourly team members, and ensure excellent guest service across departments. This role requires strong communication, flexibility with shifts, and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team.
• Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends and promotions strategies.
• Leading a team by planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals.
• Coaching hourly team members to develop and retain talent.
• Maintain safety and policy compliance in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments consistently to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly environment.
• Train and supervise team members to ensure operational standards are met.
• Lead daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals.
• Oversee stocking, merchandising, pricing, signing, and floor presentation.
• Support fulfillment processes and ensure accuracy in pick, pack and ship tasks.
