Job summary

G&M Oil Company, Inc. is seeking a friendly, reliable store associate to deliver fast, accurate service at our fueling stations. You will handle transactions, assist customers, maintain a clean store, and work as part of a team to meet sales goals.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic math, strong communication in English, and proficiency with the PDI Enterprise POS system. Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills / PDI Enterprise POS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
• Have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately handle money and other types of payment received for product sold.
• Perform credit card transactions, manufacturer coupon redemption, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, and fast food sales.
• Check identification for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products according to company policy.
• Actively participate in all sales promotions and campaigns; practice suggestive selling and build customer relations.
• Review and adhere to all city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag.
