Responsibilities

• Greet customers and supervise greeting; respond to questions and explain store policies
• Initiate and/or make recommendations regarding hiring, discipline, promotion and evaluation of front-end staff
• Orient/train new front-end associates; retrain when necessary
• Develop weekly labor schedules for front-end employees with store manager approval
• Ensure front-end safety and proper cash handling; monitor service and open express lanes when needed
• Supervise checkout and bagging; manage returns and refunds as needed
• Ensure opening/closing accounting procedures and communicate new policies to staff
• Prevent loss by proper cash handling and price checks on items not on file
