Job summary

Food Lion in Lavonia, GA is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service, greet customers by name when possible, scan orders, handle payments, bag items, and assist with Food Lion To-Go orders.

You will help maintain neat front-end areas, follow cash handling procedures, uphold service standards, and work with store leadership to meet customer service goals while supporting fellow associates.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible
• Scan customers' order and handles the payment transaction, per standard practice
• Follow correct bagging procedures for the correct use of bags by type
• Follow procedures for refunds and error correction and maintain cash control
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take the customer's order to their car or assist with To-Go orders
• Maintain neat and clean presentation of the front end area and report any issues to management
