Job summary

Buckle is seeking a part-time Freight Coordinator to support store operations, shipments, and backroom maintenance. You will verify invoices, prepare items for shipping, and assist with floor merchandising while upholding Buckle’s customer service standards.

The role requires a flexible schedule, basic POS familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. No prior experience is required, and 18+ is necessary. Join a team focused on neatness, security, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Physically able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Verify merchandise invoices against items received and ensure shipments are correct.
• Process alterations, layaways, or special orders via FedEx to Guests.
• Check freight packing slips and transfer slips for accuracy.
• Ensure transfers are processed through the register and match shipped items.
• Prepare items for shipping by boxing and presenting them neatly.
• Remove pins from shipped merchandise and apply Sensormatic tags.
• Hang, fold, and steam merchandise for the sales floor as needed.
• Support floor projects and maintain an organized, clean workspace.
• Maintain knowledge of POS software and operate the register for shipments.
• Receive freight boxes and store transfers through the POS system.
• File discrepancies in store mail and maintain shipment paperwork.
• Monitor for security risks and prevent theft where possible.
• Create FedEx labels and sort packages by transit time.
• Process recalls and RTVs weekly.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized (boxes, bags, paper, etc.).
• Organize fixtures and shelving; maintain daily work files.
• Communicate policy violations to management and HR promptly.
• Provide feedback on merchandise handling to leadership.
• Adhere to Buckle’s Code of Ethics and store policies.
